The Glad Tidings of Great Joy Christian Center is a religious organization that supports local assistance to persons wishing to learn about the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. It welcomes all denominations who wish to come to this center, and provides free Bibles and other reading material associated with the faith. It is not a church meeting place, but the center does offer weekly prayer sessions and Bible study. Classes are for adults, but on weekends there are children's Bible study classes, as well. The center accepts volunteers from area Christian churches to conduct these classes; there is a mixture of Christian faiths here, such as Catholic, Lutheran and Episcopal religions.

Friendly Community Outreach Center is a part of The Friendly Church of God In Christ, headed by Pastor and First Lady T. E. Hammonds. The Friendly Community Outreach Center (FCOC) is a nonprofit tutoring and educational assessment center which helps underserved communities in the area. One does not have to be a member of the congregation to utilize the teachings at the center. It focuses on the individual child as apposed to group study, so the child will build their own strengths and build solid learning habits. The center also hosts social events that are based on study, such as a visit to the local science planetarium. FCOC will provide tutoring in the subject areas of math and English-language arts to students between the grades K–12.

First Christian Church of Oceanside is a massive church located along South Freeman Street, only one block from the city's main strip. It features two separate entrances and offers services every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays and other events--such as Bible study--happen during the evenings throughout the week.  

The church resides within a historic complex built in 1928 and still has many of its original fixtures still in place. The interior is large, with a grand sanctuary that speaks of the church's history and has plenty of space for the larger congregation. Parking can be found onsite or on the street, though street parking is metered.

The Metro Area Advisory Committee is a multi-purpose social service agency that services communities throughout San Diego County.  The organization provides a wide array of programs designed to assist clients in the enhancing their lives through lifestyle changes.

Metro Area Advisory provides the availability of secure homes with access to childcare, pre-school, recreational activities, computer training and job referrals. Through HeadStart, FirstStart, nutritional programs, low-income home weatherization and improvement, two recovery homes, affordable housing complexes and a charter school Metro Area is able to assist more than 35,000 individuals a year.

North County Community Services has been in existence since the late 1960's. It was founded originally as a non-profit organization to assist Oceanside's financially-disadvantaged children and families and has since grown into a much larger group aiding people all over North San Diego County. Its staff of over 100 helps North County citizens with food banks, housing programs and health care.  It has offices here in Oceanside and in San Marcos and works with over 90 other agencies.

The San Diego Coastal United Teachers Association is located on the second floor of the Courtyard Business Plaza, on the corner of El Camino Road. The association is an umbrella organization for the Oceanside, Fallbrook and Carlsbad teachers associations. The group is open to all teachers in the tri-county area. The association is a gathering space for teachers to discuss issues regarding their profession. It acts as an informal union with some of the school districts. All of the staff are volunteers. The organization also raises money for local scholarship funds and helps to host educational-related events around town.

Family Connections Christian Adoptions started in 1983. Owner Audrey Foster had been with County Adoptions for years, and realized that a private organization might be able to attend to adoptive childrens' needs with more attentiveness than the public program. Since then it has placed over 4,000 children across the country with loving, respectful parents. It is a member of the North American Council on Adoptable Children, the California Association of Adoption Agencies, and many more. It is funded by family fees, California State reimbursements and donations.

Located in the McKeon Center building, Valley Senior Center hosts various programs, monthly meetings, social events and other projects to enrich the lives of area seniors. One does not need to be a member of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish to be involved in the activities at the center. The organization is non-denominational, and welcomes all citizens living in the Oceanside area.

Faith Based Community Development Corporation is located on Oceanside Blvd. The organization serves those those experiencing everyday crises and life challenged situations. It helps find shelters for the displaced and those in disaster recovery. Faith Based Community Development Corporation has friendly, caring professionals who help the community by providing answers to crisis-related questions. Parking is located in front of the building.

The Women's Club of Oceanside is located along Missouri Avenue near downtown. It is situated at the end of the street and provides a tranquil, relaxed environment. The club is non-exclusive, with any and all women invited to attend meetings and social hours that are usually advertised in the local papers. Women are invited to take in coffee, tea and snacks, and join in coversations about the city and whatever else comes up. The club also hosts specific events for women, as well as award ceremonies, book clubs and more. Parking is free on site, and reservations can be made by calling the provided number.

The Salvation Army operates six senior housing communities in San Diego and Riverside County. One of these is the Silvercrest residential community located in the Sierra del Mar District.

These homes are low-income options for seniors who still want to live independently, but may be on a tight budget. Special subsidies are available for those who cannot afford it or have a disability.

Silvercrest has close to 600 units, and organizes recreational activities for their residents. There are people onsite to assist people with any issues they may have with their housing as well.

The Saint Germain Foundation is a gathering place for people who follow the "I am" philosophy, which originated in 1930 when a hiker met an ascended master, Saint Germain. The foundation works with people to incorporate God into their lives on a deeper level than most religions, believing that man needs assistance to stand against the trappings of life. There is no admission process for joining the foundation, and it has no particular political standing. All are welcome.

Kingdom Hall is located along California Street, right near downtown Oceanside. It is a religious institution set up for the Jehovah's Witnesses and offers a place of worship and learning for its members. The religion has more than 107,000 congregations across the nation, with more than 7 million members. Kingdom Hall offers a public talk as well as study time each Sunday. It also features service on Thursdays at 8:20pm and the theocratic ministry school meets at 7:30pm on Thursdays. Free parking is availablewithin the large lot surrounding the main building.
