Collier Park is in the central downtown Ramona area, near residences, schools and churches, and it is next to the Boys & Girls Club. It has an array of facilities to accommodate family gatherings. The park is designed with shade in mind. A large old oak tree shelters one of several picnic table areas. The playground structures have colorful canopies over them, and there is a covered pavilion. There are large, grassy areas for frisbee or other games. No skateboarding is allowed.

The First Congregational Church of Ramona has been around as long as the town itself. It was founded in April 1898 and has been at its location on the corner of Eighth Street and D Street since 1907. Pastor David Auten leads the congregation that belongs to the United Church of Christ. A preschool on the church grounds provides a safe and spiritual place for children ages 18 months to 12 years. The church is very active in missions that provide charity in Ramona and Tijuana.

This group teaches the Lemurian Philosphy—based on a review of ancient civilizations and the teachings of Christ. The fellowship was founded in Ramona by Robert Steele in 1936. Its offices and staff housing rest on 60 acres on Highway 67. The site also includes a maintenance shop and a large multipurpose community building called Rhu House. The fellowship is run by a board of governors; there is no individual leader. No classes are offered on site, but rather students around the globe are taught by personal correspondence with teachers.

The Rev. Andre Ramos is the pastor at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The towering, sand-colored spire on the corner of E Street and Sixth Street is one of the tallest structures in Ramona. This particular shop provides emergency supplies to people in Ramona, Santa Ysabel, Julian, Ranchita, Borrego Springs and Warner Springs and also provides emergency boxes of food that will sustain a family for up to three days with fresh produce from the local farmers market, pasta, bread, canned goods and more. If you know of a senior in need, contact this organization for free food for a week delivered by the Ramona Sheriffs Volunteer Patrol.  If you are unable to stop by the store, you can make a donation on its website and even shop online.

Mountain View Community Church sits high on a hill overlooking Pine Street and West Haverford Road.
