Demens Landing Park, which is next to the city airport and city marina, does not get as many visitors as some of the more centrally located parks. But it offers picnic pavilions, grills, a playground and two public boat launches. Visitors get a panoramic view of Tampa Bay and the pier. American Stage Theater holds its outdoor productions here.
The Church of Beatitudes, an American Baptist church, holds services every Sunday, ranging from a traditional service in the morning to the Beatitudes Fellowship in the evening, which is a contemporary service. The latter includes various forms of music, meditation and open prayer and is more informal than the traditional service. Founded in 1888, Williams Park is located at the center of downtown and has historic significance as St. Petersburg's first park. The park has a bandstand and is a frequent site for political and civil rallies. It was originally called City Park but was renamed to honor city founder John Constantine Williams.

This facility houses up to 50 adolescent girls ages 13-18 who have either been placed in the facility by the Florida Department of Children & Families or by parents who need assistance with their troubled daughters. Licensed therapists offer individual counseling and group therapy sessions, and a psychiatrist visits weekly to oversee medication and to provide individualized special counseling. With a staff-client ratio of six to one, the staff monitors the girls 24 hours a day. While in the program, the girls will learn how to problem-solve, money management, and how to get the skills they need to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. The facility has an extensive "aftercare" program to follow-up with former residence and monitor their progress.

Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church history was founded by a group of community leaders in 1928. Mt. Zion's mission is to bring about “effective change” in the community. The church has a vision to really make a difference in the community. Future plans for Mt. Zion include a private Christian school, job training, housing for seniors, internal missions, a halfway house for inmates released from correctional facilities, drug prevention/rehabilitation, parenting programs and more.
