The day school serves children ages 2 through pre-kindergarten, and is located on the church campus. Children receive an early-childhood education plus chapel, Spanish, music and art. Healthy snacks are provided daily. There is a fenced-in playground for children to have outdoor activities.
An Evangelical Covenant Church, Faith Covenant meets every Sunday at 10am for services. In addition to its services, Faith Covenant also offers youth group and Bible study programs during the week. Members also meet for Sunday picnics and other activities, including softball games, as well as practice groups for diverse activities such as singing.
Southeastern Guide Dogs is a nonprofit whose goal is "to create and nurture a partnership between a visually impaired individual and a guide dog, facilitating life's journey with mobility, independence and dignity." It has been providing partnerships between visually impaird people and dogs since 1982 and has more than 600 active guide dogs. Its 23-acre campus is located just off I-275 in rural Palmetto.
The Greater Palm Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is a group of businesspeople who have come together to promote the community and its member businesses. This helps businesses within its purview flourish. Ostensibly, this benefit should trickle down to the community.
This Chamber also promotes community events like the annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival on the Chamber website.
This historic Catholic church has been serving the St. Petersburg community for more than 80 years. It offers masses daily and three times on Sunday. St. Mary also provides wedding, funeral, baptism, confirmation and reconciliation classes and services.
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection has been around since 1979. The congregation has grown in leaps and bounds over the years. The church offers youth programs, adult programs and music programs, too. It offers many fun activities for families throughout the year. The church's focus is to make you feel as you have a second home, are always welcome, and can come to church for anything.
St. Jerome Catholic Church is seated on spacious grounds. Throughout the property, there are designated buildings for youth, recreation and church offices in addition to the chapel itself. The church has several ministries as well. These include youth, music, social, outreach, liturgical and spiritual.
The chapel of Skycrest United Methodist Church towers over the Drew Street business district. A traditional and a modern worship service is held here every Sunday. Bible study and youth groups meet during the week. Skycrest Child Development Center offers classes for children
from kindergarten through 5th grade. The complex includes a basketball court and a playground.
Mount Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church was founded by a group of community leaders, and its stated mission is to bring about “effective change” in the community by going “further in and deeper down.”
Future plans for Mt. Zion include a private Christian school, job training, housing for seniors, internal missions, a halfway house for inmates released from correctional facilities, drug prevention/rehabilitation and parenting programs, to name a few.
The Hyde Park United Methodist Church is a warm and welcoming congregation. It offers study groups and is active in the community. Child care services are available during services.
