One would be surprised that a cemetery sitting beside La Grange Road could be as serene as Parkholm Cemetery is. The winding roads and majestic oak trees, however, seem to invite you back to an earlier century. What isn't apparent unless one takes a long stroll is just how old the cemetery is. According to franzosenbuschheritageproject.org, the grounds officially became a cemetery in 1887 and was known as Oak Hill Cemetery before being renamed Parkholm Cemetery later.
