Hospice of the Bluegrass is a private nonprofit organization and a member of the National Hospice Organization. It is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and has been providing nationally recognized hospice and palliative care services to terminally ill persons and their families since 1978. It has a team of physicians, nurses, counselors, social and volunteer workers, personal care assistants, chaplains, and speech, physical and occupational therapists serving more than 800 patients and their families in more than 20 countries each day. It accepts payment for the hospice services through Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.
