Battle Grove Democratic Club was started in 1933 and is one of the most active political groups in Maryland.  It has more than 750 members currently. It is a private club, and in order to gain entry to the building, you must swipe your club card.  Otherwise, if you are not a member, there is a buzzer you can ring to talk to someone.

Originally named Watersedge Chapel, the church was founded in 1943. Current Watersedge Baptist Church pastor David Erickson was ordained in 1980. The church also hosts the Little Light Christian Child Care Center as well as an annual vacation Bible school. The church's community outreach programs include a hospital ministry and health program.

The Baltimore County Police Community Relations Council is an association focused on improving the relationship between the local community and police precinct No. 12. This council is based in Dundalk. Monthly meetings are held to address community issues having to do with the police precinct. Council members include business people, community leaders and residents of the area. Residents are encouraged to bring local issues to the council and the police precinct. The Rev. Jansen String leads a congregation whose roots reach back to 1888, when St. Matthew's Church began in Sparrows Point. In 1929, St. George's Church in Dundalk was built. The congregation of St. George's and St. Matthew's came together in 1973 after St. Matthew's closed. The family parish holds Sunday coffee hours and runs Right Turn of Maryland and other community programs.
