The beautiful building is home to workshops, classes, community meetings, art exhibits and artist-run community service programs. Studios and kilns are available for artists' use, and all the classes are offered at low or no cost. The building can also be rented for private parties. The St. Agnes #4449 Council has been in the Catonsville community for 51 years. The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic Fraternal Organization. The first meeting was held in the St. Agnes School Parish School Hall.
The council does many service projects and events in the community, including technology courses, community awards and bowling events.
The much-anticipated Perry Hall Library opened its doors in March 2009. At more than twice the size of its 46-year-old predecessor, the 25,000-square-foot building offers drive-up window service, two group study rooms, a special area for teens, a play area for babies and toddlers, a large multimedia meeting room and a quiet reading room with a fireplace and hundreds of periodicals. There is no shortage of special events, classes and programs. On any given week, visitors can participate in multiple story times, cultural performances, Internet classes and book discussions. Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church is a religious institution hosting regular worship services Sundays at 10am. The church also offers child care for infants and religious education programs for area youth that are held simultaneously with the led worship services.
