The Michigan Dyslexia Institute is a nonprofit organization that serves children and adults suffering with dyslexia. It is a member of the Dyslexia Association of America, which provides services to persons with dyslexia throughout the United States. The institute provides direct remedial reading instruction, teacher training and public information services. The Michigan Dyslexia Institute also provides advice and assistance to citizen groups throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri. In addition, it participates in the range of cooperative programs with state agencies, private business, literacy groups, and public and private schools.
