St. Paul Ame Zion Church is pastored by Rev. Damen Carver. They hold services twice a week in a classic white adobe chapel. It is nestled in a small neighborhood just outside downtown Media.
In general, this Kingdom Hall offers very similar beliefs and events as other Kingdom Halls of the same Jehovah's Witnesses denomination. The Media chapter of this Kingdom Hall has public talks on Sunday at 10am and Watchtower study at 10:30am. On Thursdays, it hosts Bible study at 7:30pm, theocratic ministry school at 8pm and service meetings at 8:35pm. This site has plenty of parking spots including dedicated handicapped spaces.
The Hometown Senior Center is a drop-in community center for independent adults who are 55 and up. Its recreational activities include arts and crafts, book clubs and card games, and it provides socialization, health promotion and volunteer opportunities such as answering phones, teaching classes and delivering Meals on Wheels.
Media's first Baptist Church is rich with history, the original members having first gotten together in 1872, although the building it currently inhabits was built in 1909. Its current pastor is the Reverend Robert Beverly. It offers childcare during morning services. Kids from first to sixth grades are welcome to join the first half of the service and then head out for Junior Church activities, although Sunday evenings plan more for children of all ages.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Delco offers people who are age 55 and over the opportunity to donate their time and experience in a variety of settings. The program is locally based and provides services ranging from tutoring to lecturing on environmental issues.
City Team Ministries is located inside the Media Town Mall. It is a non-profit organization providing meals, shelter, recovery programs, youth outreach, and a camp for inner city kids. They serve various areas across the country including San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, Philadelphia and more. Saint Mary Magdalen Parish is led by the Rev. Monsignor Ralph Chieffo, and its youth program is led by Marissa Giunta and Jeff Braconnier. Together they deliver Christ-centered teachings that the whole family can learn from and apply to daily life. Saint Mary Magdalen Parish strives to spread the Good News of Salvation by welcoming everyone into its Catholic, Christian worshipping community. The Media chapter of the Church of the Nazarene is located at the tricky Y-intersection where Providence Road meets Palmer Mill Road. The congregation is led by Pastor Dawn Reed and features a blend of contemporary and traditional services. The first Sunday of every month, the church members enjoy a community get-together at their private coffee house on the grounds. The church also has its own pool.
Middletown Baptist Church is lead by Pastor Jeff Evans. He and his staff facilitate Middletown Baptist Church & Biblical Nurturing & Inner Healing. The warm, welcoming staff accepts each person as they are in their life journey. The worship service is a mix of contemporary and classic hymns that speak to young and old alike.
