Cloverleaf YMCA uses several sports fields, community pools, and gymnasiums to provide swimming lessons, youth sports, and day camp. By teaming up with community businesses and organizations, it also hosts healthy living programs and classes. Inside, the facility has a program house for summer camp, locker rooms, and snack bar. As well, it has an outdoor heated swimming pool and children's pool.
Beulah Presbyterian Church offers regularly scheduled worship services with additional youth, adult and music ministries. Special meetings are open to participation, and they include women's circles, singles' support groups, a serenity group and men's prayer breakfasts.
Led by Revered Benjamin J. Black, the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church provides a large, welcoming congregation that aims to positively involve itself in the community. A very active church, there are many special events going on including charity fundraisers and musical entertainment. There is a nursery available for young children during church services. Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church offers worship services, a variety of ministries and Sunday school for all ages. Nursery care is available during worship services.
The Serbian Orthodox Church established itself in Pittsburgh in 1906 and since then has been a guide and community resource for Serbia's Christian expatriates and their descendents. The Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral on Maxwell Drive hasn't changed since it was built in 1971. About 400 families are members.
The cathedral offers Saturday confession times and a Sunday service but also an assortment of other activities, such as a ladies auxiliary, a men's club, Sunday school and the Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir. The cathedral itself, located in the Borough of Whitehall, is a beautiful piece of architecture with multiple levels of seating and an impressively high ceiling.
Ward Home educates at-risk young adults in practical life skills so they can live independently as effective, contributing members of the community. The Home operates three living facilities, for teen girls, teen boys and teen parents, and it offers a variety of programs.
St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church is located along Siebert Road near the McKnight retail shopping corridor. The Rev. John R. Rushofsky is the pastor. There are nearly 8,000 registered parishioners from over 3,000 North Hills households. The church campus also features a parochial K-8 school that includes a gymnasium. Its mission is to "joyfully meet the needs of others through Christian service in a welcoming community."
Berean Fellowship Church is a dynamic full gospel ministry located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, minutes off Bower Hill Road in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. All are welcome, and BFC recommends that first-time visitors attend the 10 a.m. Sunday service. "Our prayer is that God will meet your needs and give you the desires of your heart."
