Childrens Home/Chambliss Shelter is a nonprofit social welfare organization that works to prevent the dependency, neglect, abuse and delinquency of children. Established informally in 1872, it offers 24-hour child care and medical services. Childrens Home/Chambliss Shelter maintains a child care facility and foster home that provides residential services for individuals up to the age of 12. It also provides the Childrens Home program, which serves more than 350 children.
