Established in 1943, Presbyterian Homes is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves more than 400 senior citizens in communities throughout northwest Pennsylvania. The organization has a staff of over 400 doctors, nurses, pathologists, and physical, occupational and speech therapists. It offers nursing care and assisted and independent living services. Presbyterian Homes provides personal care services, such as bathing, dressing and medication assistance. The organization is affiliated with Healthcare Ventures Alliance, Presbytery of Lake Erie and PANPHA. In addition, it administers the Caring for Life program, which collects funds for the capital improvement of facilities. Presbyterian Homes maintains a location in Oil City, Pa.
