Move over cupcakes, theres a new cookie in town!“We want to take cookies to the next level – and introduce New Yorkers to the sophistication of this American classic. In the process, we aim to challenge common conceptions about cookies,” states Zachary Schmahl, the creator of Schmackarys. “Cookies can be fun and they come in a lot more flavors than just chocolate chip."Infused with unique and original flavors, Schmackary’s will introduce eleven different cookie varieties, including two rotating/seasonal flavors, when it opens this spring. Zach’s year-round cookie flavors include Oatmeal Scotchie, Peanut Butter Cup White Chocolate Cherry Chunker, Cookies and Cream, and Zach’s infamous Red Velvet Cookie. He will also offer a gluten-free Sweet Corn Cookie made with cranberries, corn kernels and pecans; and this season’s featured flavors are Carrot Cake, with a cinnamon buttercream frosting, and Maple Bacon with toffee and lots of candied bacon.
