MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital is a 98-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for individuals who are recovering from conditions such as stroke, and other neurological disorders, orthopedic, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries and amputations. Our rehabilitation team offers a comprehensive approach to patient care, helping them achieve their greatest functional abilities. Our team of professionals includes a physiatrist (an independent private practice physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation), physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation nurses, nutritionist/dietician, case managers and medical specialists. MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission to provide specialized medical and therapeutic services. Combined with our state-of-the-art technology, experience and knowledge, this accreditation helps ensure that our services provide the expert care patients need to reach their maximum levels of independence and function.
The Sims-Kemper treatment program serves persons 13 years and older who are experiencing problems with alcohol, other drugs or gambling. Motivation for admission can be the result of job or educational jeopardy, court or probation order, recommendation by a health care or legal professional, family concern, or individual's desire for change. Sims-Kemper is licensed by the State of Kansas & is a provider member of the Kansas Association of Addiction Professionals. Cost of the treatment program is covered by most insurance, less deductibles and/or co-pays. We are a Medicaid provider and accept state funding. A sliding scale & Federal Block Grant can cover payment of treatment for those uninsured. State funding is available for gambling problems. We help individuals with substance or gambling problems begin a healthy recovery. Sims-Kemper recognizes the divergence of issues associated with addiction problems and offers seperate groups of women, men, and adolescents. Our Adult Day Group is Co-Ed. Individual and family counseling is available to all clients.
