Led by Daniel Kaushansky, PsyD, Kaushansky Psychology is a leading mental health private practice in Los Angeles. Adolescent and adult patients have access to customized psychological assessments and treatments for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma.  Kaushansky Psychology offers services grounded in psychodynamic theory. Treatment often integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction. This dual approach alleviates symptoms and decreases feelings of anxiety, stress, depression, and anger. Patients receive compassionate, professional psychotherapy to explore and resolve issues that affect their mental health in a comfortable and conveniently located environment. Dr. Kaushansky completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He earned his Doctor of Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. He completed his predoctoral internship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West in New York City. Dr. Kaushansky also completed a rigorous postdoctoral fellowship in adolescent medicine at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Kaushansky also holds a certificate in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles and a certificate in CBT from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. New patients are welcome at Kaushansky Psychology. Appointments are available by calling the office or using the online scheduling tool.

For more than 38 years, 1736 Family Crisis Center has been helping the victims of domestic violence, runaway and homeless youth, homeless families, unemployed adults/youth and other low-income community members. It provides life saving support through five shelters and three-community service centers. The center has more than 100 memoranda of understanding and operational agreements with agencies, clearly stating mutual expectations for client care. 1736 Family Crisis Center has partnerships with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence and County of Los Angeles Domestic Violence Council.
