The Jail & Juvenile Detention Center of the Portage County Sheriffs Department offers a range of safety services for the communities. It promotes opportunities for behavioral changes in offenders. The Jail & Juvenile Detention Center can accommodate up to 80 adults and 15 juveniles. It also administers the Electronic Monitoring Program. The Portage County Sheriffs Department also administers a dispatch center that offers paging duties for a full-time police department, medical service groups and state agencies. The department is administered by Portage County Government in Wisconsin.
