Located in the North Wing Courthouse, the Chester County Tax Claim Bureau is responsible for collecting all delinquent real estate taxes.  The Bureau also provides notice when real estate taxes fall into delinquency and it can provide tax certifications about both paid and unpaid taxes. The bureau does not offer legal advice concerning tax issues. The bureau director is Jeffrey A. Laudenslager.

Located in suite 109 of the North Wing Courthouse, the Chester County Department of the Treasurer receives, records and deposits all county funds collected from payment of taxes, the sale of licenses, state-related revenues and payments of jugements and fines.  It also issues interim real estate tax invoices as well as hunting, fishing, pitsol and dog licenses.  Ann Duke is the Chester County treasurer.

The Chester County Public Defender office is responsible for providing lawyers to those who cannot provide one for themselves. The public defender office will represent individuals involved in cases that may involve jail time, juvenille court hearing, parole and probation hearings, and some non-support and protection from abuse cases. Its main goal is to meet with new clients within one to two weeks of arrest.

Headquartered in the North Wing Court House, the Chester County Department of Finance uses financial analysis and reporting to promote best practices in finance and budgeting to its customers. The Department of Finance also coordinates the budget and manages cash, grants, cost recovery and debt administration for the county. The Department of Finance reports to the county board of commissioners and the Finance Director is Denny G. Bolton.
