Veterans Plaza is a large public open space that is used for local community festivals and concerts. The space features a pavilion, where the Silver Spring Swings summer concert series is held annually. The plaza is also the location of the Silver Spring Civic Building, which opened in 2010. The building is the center of community activities in the city, and is available for banquets, presentations, meetings and other events.
Flower Liquor Store is a carry out liquor mart located on Flower Avenue in Silver Spring. Champagne, beer and wine, both domestic and imported, are sold at here.
