Established in 1972, Northern Kentucky Health Department is a local health care and welfare-service organization. The health department specializes in community assessment/surveillance, public-health-policy development, community-health planning and health/social-need assessment. It also offers an array of services in adult health, child health, communicable disease, HIV testing, diabetes-control program, tobacco prevention and women s health. Based in Edgewood, Ky., Northern Kentucky Health Department serves the residents and visitors of Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton Counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
