Lehigh County's bureau of parks and recreation develops and manages about 2,500 acres of county parks and open space. Among the parks it manages are several in South Whitehall, including Cedar Creek Parkway East, Cedar Creek Parkway West and the Lehigh County sports fields complex.
As a Lehigh County landmark since 1978, Cedar View Apartments offers elderly and physically challenged adults a comfortable, safe and clean home. Low- to moderate-income county residents are considered for their one-bedroom units. The building has 10 floors and 200 units. Handicapped reserved parking spaces are in abundance. An outdoor pavilion welcomes residents during the warmer months while the attractive grounds are nice throughout the year.
