Health and Social Services is a department administered by the government of Douglas County in Oregon. The department is responsible for the prevention of disease and the protection of public health in the county. Its developmental disabilities division provides case management, advocacy and behavioral management support to individuals and families. Health and Social Services also operates through emergency preparedness and environmental health divisions. The departments mental health division offers psychiatric medical, resource managements, and outpatient support and community support services. Health and Social Services public health division is responsible for the control of preventable diseases and conditions and the collection and reporting of health statistics.
