The St. Louis County Family Court is the South County branch of the city's family court system. The court deals with all juvenile cases as well as settling parental rights and custody issues.
The South County Municipal Court handles misdemeanor criminal charges. It also handles traffic and other tickets distributed by the South County area police. Citizens obtain rulings and pay fines if necessary at this court.

The City has a fulltime police department and fire department and administers a variety of services through its adminisration offices and public works department.

The Richmond Heights Municipal Court primarily handles traffic tickets, parking tickets and ordinance violations. Court for regular dockets happens at 6:30pm on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Court for trial and housing issues happens on the third Wednesday of the month.
The office also handles all questions and complaints related to accidents, the police and the court. Out-of-court costs may be paid online or using the dropbox in the lobby. East Central Dispatch Center representatives are available to help customers after regular business hours.

Rock Hill City Hall recently moved to the same building that houses the city's police department. The Rock Hill Board of Alderman meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month. Municipal court is held here at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of the month.
