Cyprus Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization started in 1928 by a small group of Kennecott Copper Company employees in Utah. Cyprus Credit Union is among the oldest active credit unions in Utah and started with assets totaling less than $100. Cyprus Credit Union is a full-service financial institution offering nearly every financial service a person needs, from auto loans to retirement planning. Cyprus Credit Union has branches throughout Salt Lake Valley and services centers across the country, free ATMs, and telephone and Internet account services. Membership is open to any Utah resident who is willing to make a $3 donation to the Community Recreation Association and by depositing $47 into a dividend-earning savings account.
