The White House Federal Credit Union offers membership to employees and retired employees of the White House (West and East Wing, Cabinet) and those detailed to the White House and the Executive Office of the President, including military personnel and administrative workers. It offers a number of services including: checking and savings accounts, investment services and low loan and savings rates. It is located right across Ballston Mall with very easy access to the metro.
The federally chartered NSWC Federal Credit Union caters to the military, including civilian federal employees, who can be lifetime members. Fredericksburg residents also can become members. The office is just off of Route 1, next to Alman's Bar-B-Q. The bank offers a range of services, from personal banking to loans, investments and insurance. There is another NSWC bank branch in Fredericksburg on Southpoint Parkway and two others in Dahlgren.
