Founded in 1956, Ballet Austin Academy provides dance instructions to students of all ages, from beginners to professional dancers. It is a nonprofit dance company serving more than 900 students annually. Ballet Austin Academy offers various classes, including classical and contemporary ballet, creative movement, pre-ballet, modern, jazz, character, musical theater and pilates. It also offers ballet program that is comprehensive and syllabus-based, with each student receiving a biannual written assessment. The Ballet Austin Academy provides recreational instruction and intensive instruction for professional-track students.
