New Generations adult day health care is a planned program of activities for individuals 18 years or older who require supportive care during the day but not 24 hour care and they can return home in the evenings. The purposes of the social and health-related activities are to provide mental and physical stimulation and enhance self-esteem. We are committed to supporting better health through reliable and trustworthy caregivers who promote client independence. Accompanying this commitment is the expertise of licensed nurses and trained professional caregivers who provide the respect and dignity our clients deserve. Placement in an Adult Day Center can provide much needed respite for a family caregiver to allow them time to work, attend to other family responsibilities or just take a break from caring for their loved one. In addition to our adult day care, we created Gary s Gang , which was established when New Generations began admitting special needs adults to their program. We recognized the need for specialized programming with our special needs adults. The focus of the program is social interaction with organized activities which include exercise/fitness, wellness programs, educational and social events. Gary s Gang was named in memory of our founder, Gail Belissary s late autistic son.
