The Montessori School of La Jolla has been providing quality Montessori education and child care to the La Jolla and San Diego communities since 1975. Its main goal is to provide a loving school that promotes respect, independence, enthusiasm for learning and appreciation for self and others. The school is divided into two Children's House classrooms: one for ages 18 months to 3 years and the other for those 3- to 6-years-old.
The YMCA promotes fitness and recreational programs like adult recreational leagues, family events and youth programs. Fitness classes include aqua fit, yoga, studio cycling and Zumba. Kids can enjoy recreational basketball, flag football and volleyball youth leagues. Many parents come to the La Jolla YMCA for their children's swimming lessons. The center is popular in the community for its before- and after-school care programs.
