Kidizens is an educational enrichment program designed to help children develop real-world skills by using LEGO building blocks in a social environment. The main program is for children ages eight through 11, and allows them to work together to create their own LEGO city. There is also a Young Kidizens program designed for children ages six and seven, teaching them how to build individual buildings. Kidizens also offers a Young Senators program, where students govern a state composed of the cities built in the regular Kidizens program, as well as construct their own state capital city.
Stepping Stones has been an owner-operated child care center since 1983. Located on Covington Road in Los Altos, it offers care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The center has an infant/toddler program, a preschool program, a transition program and a pre-kindergarten program. Children are encouraged to develop age-appropriate motor, social and intellectual skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
Saint Simon Catholic Parish offers weekly prayer services and holiday celebrations, youth ministries, a preschool Sunday nursery, Bible school and youth groups.
YMCA Kid's Place offers a fun and safe place for children grades Kindergarten through six to learn, build confidence and social skills and make strong friendships. It offers half-day morning care and full-day, and after school, 3:15 to 6 p.m. care. The program operates out of a portable on the Almond Elementary School campus, providing California licensed school-age child care. During the summer months, day camps are available through the group as well.
Since 1969, this child development center has offered a safe and welcoming place for children ages five and up to learn and grow. The student to teacher ratio is currently 14:1. Care is available before and after school, during school breaks, and during the day for full or half-day periods, and in the form of summer camps.

Located at the Saint Simon Catholic Church, Little Saints Preschool offers child care for children ages 3 to 6 years old. Extended care hours are available as well. The curriculum is focused on science, religion, math, music, language, Spanish, cooking and computers. The indoor and outdoor age-appropriate playground facilities are kept clean and up to date.

Baby World offers infant and toddler child-care services for the Los Altos community. The center provides a warm and supporting atmosphere to promote confidence and growth in the children. The curriculum is focused on language, social and physical development, creative arts and mathematics.
Montclaire is a K-5 elementary school, one of 25 in the Cupertino Union School District, and a 2010 California Distinguished School.

Yikes Tikes offers daycare services for children ages 2 through 4 years, 9 months. The center uses a play-based, interactive method of teaching to promote both social and educational skills. The curriculum includes many hands-on activities and includes music and movement, fine motor activities, art and computer lab. It has a 1:4 teacher/child ratio, ensuring individual attention for each child.

The YMCA operates Kid's Place at six school campuses, three in Los Altos and three in Mountain View. The Oak Kid's Place is located in a portable building on the west end of Oak School. Options include morning, full-day Kinder care, part-day Kinder care, or afternoon care. The kindergarten - six year old program is designed to provide a stimulating learning experiences in a safe environment to enhance social, intellectual, physical and emotional development. Daily homework assistance is also provided. In addition, the YMCA operates the Way to Grow Preschool at this site, which is a full day program.
