Family Resource Center offers a range of public and private services to children, youths and families. The center is a part of The Childrens Cabinet, which works for the development and welfare of children. Its community education program includes a variety of classes and workshops for parents. The facility provides classes on various topics, such as effective communication, building self-esteem, positive discipline and parenting. It also provides education counseling to students. Additionally, The Childrens Cabinet offers assistance with money management, career development, substance abuse prevention, safety and social skills development under the independent living program. It provides child care resource and referral services to children in need. Family Resource Center is operated by family and youth interventions and child care resource and referral departments.
