P.S. 41 Crocheron has the distinction of being a nationally recognized as a No Child Left Behind "Blue Ribbon School" in 2007. An NYPD security guard is posted at the front entrance, but the school--based on its environs--doesn't seem to need it; the 2009-2010 Department of Education's Accountability Report scored PS 41 a 9.3 out of 10 for safety and respect. Academic expectations, communication and engagement were also rated very high.
