Temple Beth Torah is a Reform Congregation serving more than 900 families. In addition to being a house of worship, the temple has an active sisterhood, men's club, various youth groups for third- through 12th-graders, a religious school and a fully certified nursery school.
Temple Beth Torah's religious school serves well over 400 students and focuses on menschkeit (the proper way of acting toward others) and developing a lifelong love of Judaism and Jewish learning. The use of fun and innovative methods helps connect the teachings of Judaism to the students' lives. Programs encourage parental involvement. Attendance at PACT (Parents and Children Together) programs, which provide an opportunity for families to learn together, is encouraged.
The state-licensed David Joshua Berg Nursery School combines the best elements of an early childhood education with enriching experiences in Jewish living that lead to the formation of a positive self-image and Jewish identity. A staff of caring teachers in an environment equipped with state-of-the-art early childhood equipment provides a setting in which individual development will flourish within a group setting. A playground and indoor gym equipment designed specifically for preschoolers afford year-round opportunities for large motor skill development. Selections of programs are offered for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds.
