Summerville Baptist Church is led by Pastor Joe Wren. There are a variety of programs and services available for members of its congregation including Bible study, prayer groups, mission trips, music ministries and child care services.

Play Garden is an hourly childcare facility that focuses on healthy, engaging and educational child supervision.
It has flexible hours and no obligation for contracts. Parents pay by the hour and stays can be as short as an hour and up to 4 hours.
There's no obligation for a reservation, but Play Garden recommends reservations during peak hours.
Employees have successfully completed criminal background checks and are either parents themselves or have formal training in child education.
The Carousel Early Childhood Center is a day care center for kids, ages six weeks to twelve years. All teachers participate in ongoing child development and CPR and first aid classes and submit to a background check. At least ten teachers on staff have over a decade worth of experience with the day care center. It has been owned and operated since 1989 by Denise Weeks Gaskins.
The First Baptist Church of Mauldin is located on South Main Street next to the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Since 1904, the church has believed in ministering the Mauldin community through prayer and worship, reaching lost or disconnected people in the name of Jesus Christ. Some of the church's ministries include adult and youth choir, preschool ministry and adult small groups. This church is headed by senior Pastor Wade Leonard.
