Pride and Joy Academy has been in business since 2003. Our philosophy is simple children come first and local and state regulations are strictly adhered to for the benefit and protection of our children and staff. We provide a safe, clean, and fun-filled educational environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our director, Linda Gallardo, brings a wealth of knowledge in Early Childhood Education. Linda has an A.A. Degree in Behavioral Science, and earned her Professional Administrators Certification in 1991. She is passionate about life-long learning, and actively participates in continuous educational programs to further her knowledge in the childcare industry. Linda began her career with the La Petite Academy in 1984 as a teacher, and quickly moved up to an Assistant Director position. Her experience in this role helped Linda recognize the importance of working with children at all levels as a long-term career pursuit. Linda later became a Director and remained with La Petite for 13 years. She then accepted a Directorship with a Primrose School, and was instrumental in opening the center and helping it grow to a capacity of 185 children in the next 8 years. Pride and Joy Academy recognizes her commitment to children and is fortunate to have someone with Lindas background in child care development with our school. Lindas philosophy has remained constant throughout her career.
