Dr. Lapiad was born in Camarillo and raised in Oxnard, where her family still resides. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine and obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and in Chemistry. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry with high academic and clinical merit. At UCLA, she received various dental awards and scholarships including the Excellence in Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics, which is an award for excellent crown and bridge dental work in the dental clinic. She also became a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, which only accepts the top of the dental school class. She then completed a competitive one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) Program at the VA Long Beach Medical Center’s Dental Clinic, where she had the privilege of providing dental care to military veterans while receiving advanced dental training in implant placement, extractions, root canals, complex comprehensive dental treatment, and dealing with complex medical issues in regard to dental treatment. She has extensive experience working as a dentist in the Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society (SBVCDS), and the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce. She continually takes continuing education courses throughout the year to hone her professional skills as a dentist. She is also very honored to serve underserved patients as a volunteer dentist at various free dental clinic events held by the CDA throughout the year as well as participate in various community charitable events and fundraisers. She offers a wide range of services such as prevention, dental fillings, crowns, bridges, cosmetic dentistry, tooth bonding, veneers, dental implant placement surgery, implant crown restorations, root canals, extractions, partial and complete dentures, dentures over implants, periodontal (gum) treatment, laser dental therapy, teeth whitening, pediatric dentistry, and invisible braces such as Invisalign.
