Mark Simon, DDS, has been trusted as a general and family dentist for going on 30 years. He focuses on gentle dentistry and strives to make patients as comfortable as possible during their visit. He uses top-of-the-line dental technologies at his South Bay practice in Torrance, California, to help protect the oral health of men, women, and families in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Simon is certified to use the Solea® laser, allowing him to quickly and effectively perform many dental procedures without the use of needles or anesthesia — two components of dental work that often scare patients out of getting their necessary treatments. Dr. Simon knew that he wanted to be a dentist early on in his education. He found an interest in the health sciences, enjoyed the arts, and wanted to go into a field where he could help others and be able to work with his hands. Dentistry allowed him to apply all of these interests. In 1990, Dr. Simon graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with his dental degree and immediately entered the professional field, creating beautiful smiles for patients of all ages and walks of life. At his Torrance practice, Dr. Simon provides teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, dental implants, and dentures, as well as nitrous oxide to ensure a relaxed, anxiety-free experience. He also helps men and women with sleep apnea using oral appliance therapy. When he isn’t in the office giving routine teeth cleanings or counseling patients about their dental care, Dr. Simon loves to spend time near the ocean. He enjoys walking along the shoreline with his dog, CoCo, learning about art and technology, eating healthy foods, and traveling the world.
