This is the Hauppauge branch of New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Located inside Perry B. Duryea building, residents should expect to be screened by metal detectors and endure police bag searches before entering. This DMV processes licenses, registrations, non-driver photo identification in addition to having a traffic violations court for non-criminal offenses. Permit testings are offered from Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30am - noon. Testing is also administered on Thursdays, from 10am - 2pm.
