We are a full service dermatology practice. The skin diseases that we deal with include skin cancer of all types (including melanoma), pre-cancers, acne, psoriasis, eczema, warts, mole evaluation and removal. There is also a separate section discussing skin cancer and pre-cancers. We offer Botox injections for facial wrinkling, and sclerotherapy for superficial enlarged veins on the legs. Juvederm is a filler used to treat creases about the mouth and to restore a more youthful fullness to the lips. This is covered in more detail in our cosmetic services section. There are certain conditions in which we offer a special expertise. We think you may want to consider this when making your choice for a dermatologist. We offer vast experience and expertise in treating skin cancer. A special unit of our practice, the Skin Cancer Center, specializes in the earliest possible detection and the prevention of skin cancer. Very thorough skin examinations are performed using state of the art illumination systems and high powered magnification. This service is provided free of charge. If something of importance is found, biopsy can be done immediately and the results are available, with rare exception, in one week. All major insurances are accepted if a biopsy or treatment is needed. Skin cancer can be prevented if diagnosed in the precancerous phase. The Skin Cancer Center offers the latest and best treatment for these precancerous actinic keratoses, as they are called. The treatment called Photo Dynamic Therapy is performed in our office. A liquid is applied to the area to be treated and after a wait of a few hours you are given a twenty minute light treatment.
