Urth Caffe opened up its Santa Monica location on Main Street and Hollister in 2005. Originally founded as an organic coffee house working only with sustainable coffee growers, the company has grown to include organic teas, fresh farm salads made only with locally grown produce, gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian friendly pastries and desserts. Its menu also offers signature panini sandwiches, turkey burgers, quesadillas, lasagna and much more. There is no table service offered, instead, patrons order their food at the counter and it is then delivered to their table. In addition to eat-in and take-out, this location also provides catering as well as delivery services daily, from 11:00am – 2:30pm and 5:30pm – 9:00pm.

As seen on TLC's The Ultimate Cake Off, Cinderella Cakes is an upscale bakery that sells a selection of custom and pre-made cakes, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. Cake flavors include white, chocolate, lemon, red velvet, carrot, marble and banana nut. Filling options include vanilla, chocolate chip, amaretto, Kahlua mocha, triple fudge and strawberry mousse and frosting types include butter cream, chocolate buttercream, rolled fondant and ganache.
Beard Papa's is a bakery that specializes in cream puffs. At the bakery, customers select their pastry and filling and can see the whole process as the staff fills it right before their eyes. The cream puffs are made with Beard Papa's natural recipe of custard and whipped cream. Flavors offered on weekdays are vanilla bean, strawberry, chocolate and caramel. Every Saturday and Sunday it offers special flavors like vanilla/chocolate, green tea, pumpkin and coffee. Beard Papa's also offers cheesecakes, bon bons, éclair puffs, cookie puffs, Paris Brest and drinks including mango milkberry, lemonade, strawberry lemonade and mango ice shower. The employees are cheery and helpful. It is located just down the street from the Santa Anita Race Track and the Los Angeles Arboretum. It is also close to many shops, restaurants and salons.
