Flagship Press offers a variety of offset and digital printing services. The company s prepress department handles customer files on both PC and Macintosh platforms. It performs color separations, image manipulation, retouching, assembly and pagination on digital workstations. Flagship s offset printing department features one six-color, three two-color and seven single-color presses that run around the clock. The finishing department features programmable page cutters, folders, stitchers and binders. The digital printing department illustrates Flagship s commitment to print-on-demand technologies for short-run and rapid turnaround projects. Its 10,000-square-foot warehouse stores raw stock and customers in-progress and finished goods. The company was founded in 1950, as Town Printing, a hot metal letter shop in Andover, Mass. By 1996 the company s acquisitions had resulted in three separate facilities, which were consolidated into a 65,000-square-foot facility in North Andover, Mass. During the reorganization the company was renamed Flagship Press.
