Alliant International University was formed in 2001 by the combination of the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) and United States International University (USIU). The university is an independent nonprofit institution of higher education that prepares students for professions in the applied social sciences. It offers undergraduate courses in various fields, including clinical psychology, business, educational leadership, liberal studies, organizational development and international relations. The university supports several international academic programs. Alliant International University is certified by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Its educational programs are accredited by the state of California Board of Education. Alliant International University maintains a location in San Francisco.
