The American Board of Plastic Surgery requires completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency program followed by a period of practice experience and rigorous written and oral examinations. The senior physicians of Charlotte Plastic Surgery have all completed this process. Our practice was founded in 1951, when Dr. William T. Berkeley became the first plastic surgeon to serve the Charlotte community.
