Established in 1913, CRS is one of the oldest continually operating groups of colon and rectal surgeons in the country and the largest state-of-the-art practice on the East Coast with three locations around Richmond, VA. The physicians and staff of Colon & Rectal Specialists are committed to providing all patients the special care and education needed for the treatment of colon and rectal problems. In medical school, each of our physicians excelled in academics and were awarded the opportunity for advanced training in general surgery and specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of colon and rectal problems. All our physicians continue to advance their knowledge to bring patients the highest quality of care including minimally invasive surgical options such as laparoscopic and DaVinci robotic surgery. Each of our physicians is continually recognized for their role as leaders in the Richmond health care community. They serve in leadership positions at hospitals and health care systems throughout Richmond. They are also active in the community and in many professional organizations such as The Medical Society of Virginia, Richmond Academy of Medicine, The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
