Founded in 1975, PEER Services is a private, nonprofit agency that offers prevention and treatment services to the patients of substance abuse. Its professional staff includes certified and licensed prevention specialists, substance abuse counselors, clinical social workers, professional counselors, physicians, nurses and family therapists. With a presence in Evanston, Ill., the agency also maintains a location in Glenview, Ill. It conducts an adolescent treatment program that features a variety of early intervention, treatment and supportive services for schools, youths and families.
