God wants the ministries in the hands of the believers. This means we need to discover and understand the spiritual gifts given to each one of us in order to achieve this goal. To be good stewards of these spiritual gifts, we are expected to use them effectively to further the work of the church. 1 Timothy 4: 14 says Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you. Help is available to see Gods will for us and for his church. Spiritual Gifts classes are offered throughout the year to help identify the spiritual gifts given to each one of us as a believer. If you have already taken this type of class in the past, please consider joining a class at Pender. It is amazing how our lives may change over the course of a few years. Where God may be calling you to serve now may be different from where you have served in the past. Participating in a class with fellow believers can be very rewarding as you undergo the assessment survey and discover things about yourself that you may not have thought about before. Once you learn about your spiritual gifts, you will serve more confidently and competently in those ministries where your gifts can be best utilized and the church as a whole will benefit.
