Founded in 1963, the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council, also known as GSVSC, is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 11,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17. It offers programs to promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual growth. The organization operates online shops that offer uniforms, accessories and gift items. It provides Zink the Zebra, In the Zone Living Drug Free and product sale programs for Daisy, Junior and Cadette Girl Scouts. The organization is funded by the United Way. It offers programs for the development of skills in the areas of volleying, striking, kicking, dribbling and passing. The organization also offers Uniquely Me and Read to Lead programs. The Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council is a part of Girl Scouts of the USA, which is a one of the premier leadership development organizations for girls.
