Protection of The Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Church is located near the top of the hill on Argyle St. in Hollywood. It has a classic old world look with the trademark Russian domes, and is run by Father Alexey Chumakov. Call, or visit the church Web site, for the monthly schedule. Church activities include vespers and Bible class, church vigils and special events such as, the Parish Feast Day. All services are held in Russian and English.
St. Andrew's has been serving the Orthodox community of the Los Angeles area since 1951. It is a beautiful church located high atop a hill in Echo Park, overlooking the L.A. skyline. St. Andrew's offers pastoral services for baptisms, weddings and other Christian rites, as well as hall rental for wedding receptions or other special occasions.
