The award-winning Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis provides space education programs for schools, corporations, scouts, community groups and the general public. At the core of the Center are state-of-the-art space simulators, which include an orbiting space station, and a Mission Control center modeled after NASAs Johnson Space Center. The program is part of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, an international not-for-profit education organization founded in April 1986 by the families of the astronauts tragically lost during the Challenger space shuttle mission. St. Louis location is part of a growing network of approximately 50 Challenger Learning Centers located throughout the world and serves groups throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Tasmyn Scarl Front has over 15 years experience working in informal science education where her skills and leadership of cross-departmental project teams has resulted in successful venues for over 50 national and international traveling exhibitions and several permanent exhibitions. Prior to coming to St. Louis, she was the Senior Manager of Exhibit Projects at The Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California and served as the Exhibit Projects Manager at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Illinois. Tasmyn graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a degree in Industrial Design. Robert Powell is the Education Coordinator for the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis and is responsible for all education programs beyond the simulated space missions. Robert has 20 years of experience in informal science education. He has always considered himself a lifelong learning and loves sharing his passion for science and math with others. Robert graduated with a B.S. in matehmatics at North Carolina Central University. Heidi Lung is the Lead Flight Director for the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis. Heidis main responsiblites include simulator operations and scheduling. Heidi has over 10 years of expereince as an informal educator with experience in managing all stages of educational programs. She has a B.A., M.A., and Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education. School of Rock is the leader in performance-based music education. We teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals, and our students put on amazing shows at local venues. Our programs, camps and workshops for toddlers, kids, teens and adults make learning to play music fun and create great communities of musicians. This Spring on June 9 and 10, School of Rock Kirkwood will prepare to perform the music of Rock Musicals, Blues Rock, Birth of Heavy Metal, Black Keys Vs. The White Stripes, Radiohead and Police/The Cars! Our curriculum pairs weekly private music lessons with weekly rehearsals, and we put our kids in the best venues in the St Louis area including the Pageant, Plush, the Gramophone, Off Broadway, the Chesterfield Amphitheater, Kirkwood Station Brewing and the Firebird. Students enrolled in School of Rock also have the opportunity to try out to join our House Band (which plays regular gigs through the spring and summer) attend open jam sessions and workshops, perform in our student showcases in the school, and even go on tour!!

The Heart of America Chapter is one of 70 chapters across the country working toward advancing the construction industry. The chapter hosts a variety of programs and services aimed at benefiting its members. Our apprenticeship classes are based on a modular curriculum and are taught in programs from three to five years in length. All classes are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and the Veterans Administration.
