The Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is a private educational institution serving children in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. It provides same-sex education in the elementary and middle school departments and a co-ed high school department. Mt. Airy Learning Tree (MALT) is a nonprofit organization that offers classes to Mount Airy residents and residents of nearby communities.
According to its website, it offers more that 240 classes during its fall, winter and spring sessions. Anyone interested in teaching a class can propose a new course offering by filling out a form on MALT's website.
It offers classes in a variety of categories. Those interested in taking a class that focuses on health and exercise can choose from several, and people who want to learn Italian or who have always dreamed of playing the harmonica have the opportunity to do so here. The classes are taught at various locations throughout the community. MALT has a full-time staff and a Board of Governors.
