Praestar Controls (A division of Praestar Technology Corporation ) is the leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of application-specific electronic controls for equipment manufacturers in North America. The Company was started in 1995 with formal incorporation on May 9, 2001 by Jim and Jason Piatt (a father-son team ). In 2003, Praestar Controls began to market its initial offering: the Modari MPC Process Controller. The product was co-branded immediately by Motorola. Shortly after this initial launch, Praestar Controls opened sales offices in Orlando Florida and Chicago Illinois. The Company has continued to grow, expanding its Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams each year. Today the Company operates three manufacturing centers, four design centers, and many sales offices around the United States.
